Owlpha — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Owlpha (the “App”) collects, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. Information we collect

• Account. When you start the App, an anonymous account identifier is created via Firebase Authentication. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile (such as an email address) those providers share to link your account.
• Your activity. The analyses and chat messages you create are stored on our backend and linked to your account so your history syncs. Watchlist favorites and onboarding preferences are stored on your device.
• Chart photos. If you use “Snap a chart” or attach a photo in chat, the image you take or choose is sent to our AI provider to generate the read. We do not store the image itself — only the AI’s text response is saved to your history.
• Subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through Adapty. We receive your subscription status (active or not). We never receive or store your payment card details.
• Notifications. If you enable price alerts, we store a device push token to deliver them.
• Diagnostics. Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service (e.g. request logs).
• Advertising & measurement. With your permission (the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt), we share app events — installing the App, viewing the subscription screen, subscribing, and completing your first analysis — and your device advertising identifier (IDFA) with our measurement partners (AppsFlyer and TikTok), so we can measure which marketing campaigns introduced new users. If you decline, we do not share the identifier. This is used for measurement, not to show ads inside the App.

2. How AI analysis works

When you request an analysis, attach a chart photo, or send a chat message, the relevant chart data, image, or message is sent to our AI provider (Replicate) to generate a response. Chart photos are processed only to produce that response and are not retained. Do not include sensitive personal information in your chats or photos.

3. Third-party services

We use service providers to operate the App: Firebase (authentication), Adapty and Apple (subscriptions), Replicate (AI generation), AppsFlyer and TikTok (advertising measurement, only with your tracking permission), and market-data and news providers (including Twelve Data, cryptocurrency exchanges, and news sources). Each processes data under its own terms.

4. How we use information

To provide and maintain your account and history, deliver AI analysis and alerts, manage subscriptions, secure the service, and comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which removes your backend data and your authentication identity. You may also email us to request deletion.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under the age required by your local law.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy and will revise the effective date above.
